All ages welcome: 7yrs to 11yrs Tuesdays (term time) at 10:15am promptly. Please arrive a little early to the waiting room. The lovely Miss Caroline welcomes learners into this warm, small-group English session designed to build real confidence, strengthen core skills, and develop a deeper enjoyment of language in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Through tutor-led shared reading, discussion, vocabulary exploration, and interactive activities, learners develop key English skills including reading comprehension, spelling, grammar, language awareness, and verbal expression. Sessions are engaging and thoughtfully paced, with plenty of support and conversation woven throughout. Together, learners explore texts, ideas, meanings, and language patterns in a way that feels approachable and enjoyable—without the pressure of completing written work during the lesson. The focus is on understanding, discussion, and building confidence with English during the interactive lesson, while optional follow-on tasks at home allow children to continue their thinking through writing if they wish. Sessions are friendly, calm, and interactive, with lots of encouragement so every child can join in at their own pace, feel comfortable, and leave feeling proud of what they’ve learned.
